* Works with Solution unit to ensure requirements and objectives are fully understood and correctly converted to IT solutions 
* Converts strategy inputs and targets into a 3 year IT lifecycle (incl. refresh, decommissioning) for the business units (products/services/applications) 

===Portfolio Managmenent===
* Considers requirements for and impacts of: major deliverables, changes, impacts on operations, resourcing, skills, sourcing, etc.
* Includes planning for internal EBS initiatives, and 'technical' activities such as DR, application upgrades, refresh etc.
* Maintains a view of the change and impact of change of the overall business unit IT landscape In terms of e.g., legacy, innovation, legal/mandatory etc.
* Ensures balance between operations and change is appropriate and aligned to the business units overall needs and strategic objectives
* Ensures IT investment is strategically allocated
