• getting attributes of elements: $('<element name>').attr('<attribute name>')
• setting attributes of elements: $('a').attr({<attribute name>: '<value>', <attribute name>: '<value>'});
• id names are prefixed with #
• class names are prefixed with .

• $() is short of jQuery()

getJSON()
