Strategy

  • Understands and articulates the business strategy, objectives and priorities
  • Alignment on cross-functional/regional/business topics
  • Ensuring appropriate alignment/reuse of solutions for the business

Architecture & Design

  • Aligns with other S&A Units within EBS IT on cross EBS topics and initiatives, e.g., form virtual S&A for specific business needs (e.g., retail, distribution)
  • Creates and maintains the key architectures and frameworks for business processes, data, and IT landscape

Business Analysis

  • Develops and maintains the capability maps and roadmaps for the business
  • Impacts assesses changes against the above
  • Has deep understanding of the key business processes and market environment in order to proactively advise and support business units with business and IT expertise
  • Has a good understanding of the IT products and technologies relevant for business units and market

Planning

  • Works with Solution unit to ensure requirements and objectives are fully understood and correctly converted to IT solutions
  • Converts strategy inputs and targets into a 3 year IT lifecycle (incl. refresh, decommissioning) for the business units (products/services/applications)

Portfolio Managmenent

  • Considers requirements for and impacts of: major deliverables, changes, impacts on operations, resourcing, skills, sourcing, etc.
  • Includes planning for internal EBS initiatives, and 'technical' activities such as DR, application upgrades, refresh etc.
  • Maintains a view of the change and impact of change of the overall business unit IT landscape In terms of e.g., legacy, innovation, legal/mandatory etc.
  • Ensures balance between operations and change is appropriate and aligned to the business units overall needs and strategic objectives
  • Ensures IT investment is strategically allocated
